Carlos Eduardo Martinez was born on Christmas Eve 1935 in Guadalajara, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States in 1958 with just twenty dollars and a dream. Through hard work and determination, he built Martinez Construction into one of the most respected companies in the region.
Carlos believed in the American Dream and worked tirelessly to ensure his children had opportunities he never had. He put all five of his children through college and still found time to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity.
He loved mariachi music, Sunday barbecues with the family, and teaching his grandchildren to play dominoes. His laughter could fill a room and his generosity knew no bounds.
